 Sustainable end-to-end battery recycling firm cylib today announced the completion of its €55 million Series A funding round in equity financing. The round, which is the largest round ever raised by a European battery recycling company, was completed less than 24 months after the company started operations.

Asahi Kasei announced the construction of its integrated lithium-ion battery (LIB) separator plant in Port Colborne, located in the Niagara region of Ontario, Canada. The upcoming manufacturing plant, designated as Asahi Kasei Battery Separator Canada, is expected to generate highly skilled and well-compensated employment opportunities in both manufacturing and construction sectors. Commercial production is expected to commence in 2027.
