IM3NY- Position for “Quality Engineer”

Imperium3 is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Quality Engineer. This position will be responsible for product development -critical to quality parameters and communication of the same for prismatic Li-ion cells .

Job Duties:

• Assuring product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes 

• Providing guidance and support to operational management and shop team through quality expertise leading and facilitating the optimization of new product industrializations 

• Assuming responsibility for quality improvements as they relate to an area within a facility or a specific project or projects within a facility.

• Managing the application of root cause analysis in problem solving. 

• Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. 

• Participate in Product Quality Planning (impact analysis, preliminary capability, FMEA, Quality Plan, training needs) 

• Applies hands on technical troubleshooting skills to existing processes with quality problems. 

• Develops and assists with the development of standard operating procedures, including solicitation of functional department input and participation in process development. 

• Trains and guides operations team in identifying and developing problem solving methodologies to resolve quality issues. 

• Utilizes statistical tools for problem solving, continuous improvement, and scrap reduction activities. 

• Participates in process and product audits. 

• Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data regarding quality process & product capabilities. 

• Participates as an Internal QMS auditor. • Conducts random inspections and quality control checks. 

• Actively participates in Continuous Improvement projects. 

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to train staff.

• Proficient in statistical process control understanding distributions, capability, over control and normality

• Understanding of ISO quality control standards and methodologies.

• Has an understanding of AIAG blue book guides, including SPC, PPAP, FMEA’s, MSA and APQP.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Comfortable presenting technical information

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

EUDCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related industrial, scientific, or business field required.

• Previous experiences as a quality engineer or similar role highly preferred.
